Harrah\'s AC Poker Open - 5/11-5/17
Harrah's AC is running the Atlantic City Poker Open between 5/11 and 5/17. The problem seems to be that, if you are reading this post, you are the second or third person who knows this. It's not listed on CardPlayer.com. Prior to a day ago, I had never heard of it and I play AC tournaments as much as anyone.
I'm trying to decide whether to cancel a trip to go elsewhere to play or stick around for it, but frankly I have no idea if 10 or 1000 people will show up for each event. Any thoughts? Thanks. Here's the link: http://www.harrahs.com/EventsDetail.do?l...0WSOP%20Warm-up |

I will be going to the $1k and $2k events on Tues.May 15th and Wed.the 16th As to the field size to expect,,,,,,,,,,I would venture to say decent in the smaller events, small in the events I plan on playing in. Why they didnt list or advertise this more or list it on pokerpages, cardplayer, bluff, etc.(i also found out about it via the GREEN card in the mail),is a mystery to me! ~stephen |

So, what do people think the numbers will be like for the WSOP satellites?
Any other decent live satellites in AC, or can they only be held at a Harrah's venue? |

Re: Harrah\'s AC Poker Open - 5/11-5/17
I heard about it from John Arthur, the Harrah's room manager at the WSOP circuit at Caesars in March. He said they were expecting pretty decent sized fields. They have had fliers all over the Harrah's owned casinos for the last couple of months

Re: Harrah\'s AC Poker Open - 5/11-5/17
Made the four and a half hour drive on Sunday morning from Virginia to AC for the afternoon mega. 11 entrants. Which was 11 shy of the total needed to award even a single seat. They converted us to a single-table tourney paying 50/30/20. The table talk was that the Friday and Saturday cash and mega tourneys all attracted 200+ fields.
