Um, I fold this. I think that it's too early to be pushing AK. Nobody thinks a fold is good?

His range in this situation is much wider than if we were to raise sitting somewhere else and get reraised by another player. We dominate this range so much that a shove is good.

The sample size for his stats is obviously small but when I see someone not play a hand all SNG up until L3, I think they're tight. Even if he is re-raising AQ here, it's very thin to shove anyway. He'd have to have JJ,AQ & AJ in his range to make it a clear shove. It's not bad either way, I imagine.

I'm guessing even if he's really tight you can safely add 99 and TT and possibly 88 to his range since you're raising off the button.

BB is 50 already, so it isn't really early. Would you call a 30BB preflop shove in ring games with AK? I certainly would.

A push isn't bad. Maybe I just play for less variance with a slightly lower winrate than everybody here. I acknowledge the fact that BB could be raising light and defending a steal; however, in my mind, we are risking our tournament too soon with a hand that at best is 70/30 if he calls. Is he folding after raising 600? How often do people defend like this at the 16's?
