Most of my sports game experience comes from NBA Live '95-'98. I've played full seasons with full-length games in each (Knicks), and I'm currently 25-1 in '98. Anyway, '98 is very easy but I can occasionally lose to a very good team - the rest of the games are huge blowouts. '96 was a complete joke. How are basketball games now? On the hardest difficulty is it still a cakewalk?
With football I've only played Madden '95 and easily went undefeated without knowing much of anything about football and play calling. Are these games very tough now on the hardest difficulties? What of baseball? |

Many sports games become quite hard on the hardest difficulty nowadays. Much more so than in the past, certainly. However, it might not be exactly the type of challenge you're looking for. Most of it comes down to the AI totally outclassing you in control, speed etc and you have to make up for it by exploiting strategic glitches. Not all that satisfying IMO. You're much better off playing with friends.
