Update: My virus scan just completed and found no infected files, although I never actually was able to remove the supposed infected file.
After I finish the tourney I'm in (I don't want to restart and enter my password again until I figure this out), I plan to restart in safe mode and scan again. If that comes back clean, how much should I continue to worry about this? I am paranoid and normally don't do anything that would really put my computer at risk. |

This "exploit-anifile.c" was the recent 0-day Windows bug that was just patch by Microsoft, McAfee probably stopped it but you should:
1)update your computer(update.microsoft.com) 2)run the virus scan in safe mode ...also switch over to firefox if your not already using it |

I am currently running the virus scan in safe-mode (I am posting from a different computer), and I still use IE, but really should switch to firefox. The problem for me is that firefox is buggy for me. Half the time I have to CTRL+ALT+DELETE -> end teh firefox.exe process to get firefox to startup again after closing it. Although I don't remember this happening since the last firefox update, so maybe they fixed it. |

there are a few other good free secure web browsers if firefox if giving you trouble... opera ( http://www.opera.com/ ) is very similar to firefox and considered to be just as secure.
