Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
Guns I plan to fire
Mark Wesson custom .45 pistol Kimber .45 pistol Sig 239 9mm compact pistol Browning 9mm 20 round pistol .308 Assault Rifle this thing weighs a ton not sure what the name for it is but it is the loudest gun I have ever heard due to the anti-recoil barrel. AR-15 Swedish WW2 rifle .308 kicks like hell |

Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
you dad > my friend
I wish there was a good outdoor range close by... I have seen crazy videos online of some ranges where people shoot old cars, 50 gallon gas drums and other "cool" stuff. Yeehaw! |

Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
Yeah I really don't like indoor ranges. Last time I went indoor was to shoot an uzi. The bullets were flying so fast I guess they were stacked up on top of each other and one bounced back and hit me. Didn't hurt me(low velocity) but would have sucked if it hit me in the face because it was still very hot. I think there are different types of bullet catching mechanisms and this place sucked.

Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
Really good idea to shoot .22 though esp when starting out. 9mm is like 10 times as expensive.

Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
any recs on a good .22?
i really enjoyed the 9mm beretta 92frs (same as the M-9)...but a cheaper/lighter .22 might be fine for target shooting and in worst case scenario home defense |

I can't express either point enough. Cons: Not going to do much damage but pulling any gun will stop a robber in his tracks. If you want to get into guns for the manliness aspect prob not the gun for you. Some people like really loud guns. |

Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
i am more interested in targeting shooting...eventually will get a shotgun if i get more into trap shooting and can use that in the home if need be...
but i do like the low noise, and cheap price of a .22 handguns...10 shot clip was more than enough and very easy to reload |

Re: Gun Range Trip Report w/ pix
Well Don't get me wrong.
I've used the "home defense" excuse to buy a fun shooting .22 in the past Let me dig out some pics when I get home |

Only a couple bucks a box. Oh yeah, don't ever buy ammo at a range =(. My cop buddy is getting an assault rifle soon, so that should be fun. We have a canyon we go to that has a beat up old car =D. |
