Finding a way to eat healthy on campus
Living in a frat house without a kitchen presents very few opportunities to eat healthy. Yes, occasionally I can mooch off my girlfriend and go to one of the school's dining halls, but that can only happen every so often. Also, since I don't have a kitchen to work with, I'm greatly limited with what I can cook on my own. This leaves me with restaurants / fast food places nearby. Since I make a decent amount from poker, I can afford to eat at these places and get delivery once per night. While it seems like it would make sense for me to get my own meal plan, the result of that would be many lonely meals (most of my fraternity brothers eat out... fat slobs).. Anyways, I'm hoping you nutrition guys can quickly scan through one of my favourite delivery spots and offer some insight on what's a healthy late night snack.
Please keep in mind my goal of gaining around 6-7 pnds of cleanish weight (no set time period) www.thecollegeinn.com Quick.... i'm hungry. |

And do what with the goods I buy at a grocery store? Cook them with mindpower?
Matt: The restaurants here, at least the ones that deliver, don't have dietary stats. |

My main problem is I have trouble connecting my goals with the food I eat. I have a quick metabolism so I have kind of got away with eating unhealthy, but now I want a six-pack so I think I might have to do away with some of my old meals.. Are chicken fingers / pita bread an acceptable meal? |

Re: Finding a way to eat healthy on campus
no chicken fingers.
75% of the food I eat is meals I make myself that don't require being cooked. not having a stove is just an excuse. besides you can cook on a hot plate, or a microwave, or a crockpot, or a george foreman grill, or an outside grill. cmon. |
