Re: 2/4 NL pumping value on the river
I agree, this is pretty gross. 9 times out of 10 here it's a case of better hands calling and worse hands folding.

just answer this: what was the point of the river overbet? [/ QUOTE ] It may fold JT, might get a really stubborn call from J8. Also avoids a really tough decision if I get re-raised. |

Re: 2/4 NL pumping value on the river
so you'd rather lose all your money than to face a decision where you may lose all your money? wtf?

Re: 2/4 NL pumping value on the river
Well when you put it that was it doesnt make much sense lol... On the spot I was thinking about the concept from NLHE:TAP that said 'dont bet X if you're unsure how to handle a reraise, either bet smaller so you can fold or make a big raise' or something like that.

Re: 2/4 NL pumping value on the river
i dont really like the play on any streets, raise pre, bet the turn and either bet/ fold to a shove or check call if hes tag liek you said he doesnt call a check raise all in with anything that your beating

Re: 2/4 NL pumping value on the river
i think your line is ok. i dont know why you're afraid of a straight - you really think a tag is overlimping Q9? Q9d would be a raise for most tags in that spot, and pretty much the only viable straight combo (so just 1). likewise it's weird for a tag not to raise limpers w/ JJ or 88. (and, AJ)
the turn is probably a bet-fold spot. on the river i dont mind the c/r, only better hand i "really" can see is 33, and who knows, maybe he has T8d or a weird AJ/KJ that pays off etc. |

[ QUOTE ]
this is disgusting. esp. in a limped pot you will never ever ever ever get shown a hand you beat. and you will never ever ever ever fold a better one. let me reiterate: wow this is disgusting. let me rephrase: bleeeeccchchchchchchh ps sorry for the honesty but im drunk and this is wow bad [/ QUOTE ] i disagree, some ppl are fairly transparent in that X calls Y folds but generally there is value here. the question is a checkraise (and if so, how much) better then just c/c. |

Re: 2/4 NL pumping value on the river
Kinda like but I duno if u can get value here. I don't think he has lower two pair- MAYBE even a set. I would c/r river to $275 and call shove since committed, but this gets more value out of hand and CAN make it a bluff but also has the sizing to get called by hands like KJ and AJ or lower two pair, while a c/rai looks like straight or set imo.
