Yeah, this thread will be interesting.
I guess, end the war on drugs is not too mainstream. If the president was capable I would change the system of representation. Or at least try to influence it. |

I'd experiment with a consumption tax and do away with the income tax. I'd eliminate all taxes on dividends (which are paid after corporate taxes, REITs for example pay dividends before corporate taxes) and long term capital gains. I'd also try to loosen up election laws from IMO the death grip of the two party system.

Currently in the US, capital gains on instruments held less than one year are taxed at the same rate as your other income, dependent on your tax bracket, while long-term gains > one year are taxed only 15%, the same as dividends. I would assume he meant he would reduce the 15% rate to 0.

1. I think I've mentioned this before but I would mandate a "conservation of legislation" rule. Any new piece of legislation introduced must be accompanied by the removal of an old piece of legislation from the books. I would pocket veto everything until they started complying.
2. I would put an end to ridiculous riders being attached to bills. Pocket veto of any bill with a rider. I think this would be a good start. |

The pocket veto is only an option for bills sent to the president at the end of the session (IIRC). |

End every executive order on the books immediately and implement a flat tax. And give a pony to Boro and hotdogs to PVN.
