overbet KK UTG with many callers
Friday night,borgata,2-5 NL.Average table. Two LAGs who were winning, nothing remarkable about other players.
I'm UTG with KK (about $700 behind).Table perceives me as tight.I open with$25-Standard raises at this table are 15-25.Six callers-very unusual to see so many callers from an early position bet. Flop comes 2 3 4 ,two clubs. $175 in pot,7 players. I bet $300 with the intention of taking down the pot immediatly, or if someone wants to draw ,there pot odds and implied odds are now terrible. Everyone folded and I took down $175. Good move? Stupid move? I briefly considered smaller bet($100-175) but was afraid of the loose player next to act calling and causing multiple callers which would tremendously reduce the value of my holding. Appreciate any and all opinions. |

Re: overbet KK UTG with many callers
if everyone at the table is drawing in a -ev fashion, that's good for you. You're play is equivalent of some guy limping utg for $10 and you shoving AA for $1000 so you don't get outdrawn. u should probably read small stakes or micro stakes, not sure.
Although overbetting in this instance might not be too bad (example, people go broke with overpairs). |

Re: overbet KK UTG with many callers
either check/raise all in or make a normal size bet.
