Re: 400NL 6 Max AA Hand
i liek the flop check a lot, people can check raise you with a flush draw and put you in a tough spot, as you played it i think you have to call the river since theres a decent chance hes on a draw, also u can profitablly raise the turn with the safe card

Re: 400NL 6 Max AA Hand
Ok let's say I called the river as my hand is now really underrepresented.
For all the people advocating a flop bet. Why do you want to do this? Is this for value or as a bluff? Does betting the flop with a one pair hand on a monotone board with no draw not bloat the pot and leave us in for trickier decisions on later streets? |

Re: 400NL 6 Max AA Hand
i think jacsons right. certainly could bet flop, but i dont mind the check. as everyone said, with the way it played out i cant see folding the river. id put him most likely on a K, and hes probably hoping youve got a PP or maybe flush draw with pair so i think hes likely value betting top pair here.

Re: 400NL 6 Max AA Hand
We don't need a draw, we have an overpair!
You are afraid of tricky situations, I think this is pretty un-tricky. Bet to charge any loose diamonds out there. If another diamond falls, we can safely fold to any strong moves, it's very simple really. Sure, there may be a slightly larger than normal chance you are behind on the flop, but we can't give up on it before we have even put in a bet. |

Re: 400NL 6 Max AA Hand
the flop check doesnt mean your giving up on the hand but with position you can see a card and play cautiously, this is maybe a flop bet against passive players at low stakes but at medium stakes where people can check raise bluff its more important to control the potsize i think while diguising your hand and usuing position to your advantage on later streets

Also, small stakes? Wtf are you talking about? Don't answer that. |

What would you do if we get called and he checks a blank turn/cr a blank turn? |
