I'm talking about eating healthy here, living healthy, exercising regularly, not drinking alchohol, etc, basically living a discipline lifestyle. Has that got anything to do with becoming a good poker player? Or can you just multitable to 4am and wake up in the afternoon and have instant noodles for lunch (skipping a proper breakfast) and back to multitabling and still be on the top notch of the game?

I think it's an individual thing. For example, you've got slobs like Matasow and Raymer. Then you've got guys like Seidel and Negraneau who eat right and maintain the right body weight...

I don't think they are linear, uh Stu Unger. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, Stu was very successful and died very rich. I think it's very important to eat, sleep and train right to be a very good poker player, just like it is with most of the other things in life. |

This is a silly question.
Be healthy. Yes, it helps in poker too. |

Many top players pay a great deal of attention to their physical and mental well-being. Lederer and Hansen work out at the gym together. Howard is a vegiatarian. Jen Harmon is very big on diet and excercise. Of course, if you scarf down blueberries, you may turn in to Jamie Gold...

Exercise and Diet play a major role in your ability to think over a long period of time. Do yourself a favor and live a healthy lifestyle because it will keep you alive long enough to enjoy the world and play poker for many years. In the end it is a personal choice but eating like crap will give you no fuel for the brain to process information plus it isnt cool to have a cardiac event at the poker table.
