Re: 2/4 nl deep play-along, interesting spot
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] give up [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I cursed my preflop shortsightedness and checked the flop, intending to fold. Villain checked behind pretty quick. He's not exactly "Mr. Pot-Control" and I think he bets most overpairs when checked to here. I also think he 5bets AA and often KK pre a good amount of the time. so, turn is an offsuit Q. Can I bet? Re: 2/4 nl deep play-along, interesting spot
call pf as you say. value bet the [censored] out of him if flop comes with A or K.
given you 4betted, def check. some lagtard who is calling a sizeable 4bet preflop wont fold to a 1/2-2/3 bet of flop. you have to overbet pot. and if you lose the hand, then you've dropped a shed load with AK oop missing - basic error. so yeah, id check down if i could. |

Re: 2/4 nl deep play-along, interesting spot
Okay, so pf was ugly - now that I've gotten to the turn - is it worth firing a bet to get him off a small-mid PP / the other AK? This pot is biiiiiig now, and checking down to let him win UI w/ 66 or 88 seems like a crime, no?

Re: 2/4 nl deep play-along, interesting spot
I think PF is fine, deep and you put immense pressure on like QQ or lower pairs. And usually he has jack [censored] and you win a nice pot PF. Against most players, flop is a check/fold. BUt this guy seems like he'd see a flop with a fairly wide range, i think 220 on the flop has a positive expectation.

I take a stab on the flop. Don't like preflop though.
