Another Caesars Indiana question
I will be heading to Caesars the 1st week of March.
What is there to do around the area besides the casino? Can any locals recommend something? I will be with my girlfriend (We are both 21), we usually play 8 to 14 hours of poker in a day when we go to casinos and we get bored easily by pit games. We dont want to play poker all day, every day so I am looking for other suggestions. |

Re: Another Caesars Indiana question
there is nothing very close to the boat. It is about 8 miles away from anything, and even that is not much. Probably the best thing to do is head to Louisville, about 20-30 min away.

Re: Another Caesars Indiana question
Avoid the West End of Louisville.
New Albany IN is the closest town, they have a relatively new 16 screen movie theater. Clarksville, IN has tons of restaurants, a Bass Pro Shop, Super Walmart, Big target store, lots of shopping etc. Southern Indiana has no Nightlife to speak of. Louisville, KY has a lot of restaurants, nightclubs, shopping, etc. It just depends on what you like and how much you want to spend. |

Re: Another Caesars Indiana question
Where the nearest cheap place to stay? The rates at Caesars itself is ridiculous. I'm moving to Charleston, WV and that is my closest casino, any info would be appreciated.

Re: Another Caesars Indiana question
I think the closest hotels are in New Albany which is about 8-10 miles away. I know ive seen some but never paid attention to the names (holiday inn, super 8, whatever) and there are several places across the river in louisville, just depends on how close you want to be.

Also, any strip clubs there or would I have to go to Louisville? (I probably wont go to Louisville) |

Hell, send him to Lanesville, I hear Polly's Freeze is where all the cool kids hang out nowadays. [ QUOTE ] Southern Indiana has no Nightlife to speak of. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah Steam is right on here, I mean if you go to S. Indiana to gamble, you should be doing just that, gambling. There isn't a whole lot else to do. There are as you asked about, several strip clubs in Louisville. Cody |

Re: Another Caesars Indiana question
New Albany IN and Clarksville IN are basically farm towns with populations of about 20,000. Southern Indiana small town midwest surburban ville.
Louisville KY is a City with 500,000+ population. It isn't exactly a cultural mecca. It was the home town of Muhammad Ali. The first thing Ali did when he hit it big, was to leave Louisville. What more do you need to know? |
