Poker rate for a regular room, but does it apply to a suite and if so, what is it or what is the discount? [/ QUOTE ] The Venetian is an all suite hotel. |

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
How about $5-10nl at Venetian? What is the max buyin on $1-2 and $2-5?
Every time I go to the Wynn it's nothing but pros that love to be seen there. It's like they just enjoy the status of being there and saying "Well yes, I play at the Wynn." The pots are small and it's mostly a bunch of worthless rocks. They don't play a hand, instead they sit with their sunglasses on, leaning back in their seat with their arms crossed and fold hand after hand. It surprises me that anyone plays there at all. It's a hell of a casino, but the poker room sucks. Am I the only one that feels that way? |

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
I loved The Venetian's room while I was there. Real soft with great service and a fantastic atmosphere.
Otter; I think they cap at 200BB. |

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
Most of the people comenting on 8/16 not going have not been clear if this is happening on weekends as well.
So these 8/16 games never get going during the week but is this also true on the busiest Vegas poker nights Friday and Saturday? Is it pretty much Bellagio and Wynn for anything consistent at 8/16 or above? Any info is appreciated. |

No need to donk off too many chips until they get into the main game. Why get involved in big pots with some schmoe that might get lucky calling with garbage? |

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
Ummm I know all rooms are suites. Next you are going to tell me there are gondola rides there and it smells like vanilla inside. But just like Orwell's little farm, not all suites are equal.
I understood that the poker rate Mr. LVinocur quoted on this site is for the "regular" suite room. Surely you're not saying that rate applies for a bigger suite in Venezia or elsewhere? Hence my question, is there a poker rate for the bigger suites and if so, how does it work. |

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
Poker rates are for standard suites only. You can pay to upgrade to a larger suite, but it will be at significant increased cost. My recommendation would be to talk to them directly.

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
Thanks for the reply. Will do. Showed the rooms to the wife last night and I don't think I am going to get away with the regular room.

Re: The Venetian: 3 Days of Play
"So are we to understand that they rarely get 8/16 or above going even on weekends?"
Nothing higher then 4-8 on Super Bowl Sunday (night) when I was in there. Though the place was busy. Last night I pulled an all nighter there, had fun but nothing higher then 4-8 last night was in the room during that time (not counting the $4,000-$8,000 7-Stud game with Larry F, Ted, Chip, Doyle & Phil I., in the back room at some point last night). They might get 8-16 or 15-30 on weekends, sometimes. I'll look this weekend and see. But as Photoc says, Bellagio, Wynn and Mirage are the mid-limit games in Vegas. With Mirage being hit and miss from my experience. btw, thanks O.P. for a great post! Best Wishes Howard |
