KK in RR pot vs resistance, 200bb deep
A friend (2+2er) played this hand. Villain is 27/12 or so, Hero is running at about 22/20. Thoughts on flop and (as played) turn? Friend says he instapot both streets.

Re: KK in RR pot vs resistance, 200bb deep
I think I'd like to see him take some agressive action somewhere after the flop, either lead the flop and check/call turn, or check/call flop and donk turn. This way we can still get action from QQ-JJ, but if we get raised taking this line we can fold safely.

Lead flop and evaluate, as played I dont like. You really have shown no strength at any point. .

Re: KK in RR pot vs resistance, 200bb deep
Bet the flop. As the hand played either check raise turn all in, or call turn and push river. Most people at 1/2 aren't good enough to make those bet sizes with AA/sets.

like what, as a bluff? [/ QUOTE ] Villain's getting very good odds to call the turn check raise, almost 4:1 I think. He'll be upset enough to make some crying calls with worse pairs, and he's stuck calling with Acxc. I think we're ahead a lot given the betting, and we have very good equity vs the range of hands he calls us with when we check raise turn all in. Also, if we call turn we're pushing or check/calling most rivers. I think he's giving up on bluffs a lot on the river, and checking behind a lot of hands he thinks might still have some showdown value. There's really no point in giving him a free river card, or in trying to induce a river bluff. |

Re: KK in RR pot vs resistance, 200bb deep
List,
yeah it's like 3.88-1 if you want to get precise. But villain still has around ~170 left to call after we cr, I don't think he'll want to call with QQ-TT here, which leaves AA and sets as his range for calling right? |
