So i teach music in an elementary school, and me and one of the other teachers are starting a rap club. In the club we are goign to teach them how to write and structure songs, create there own beats.. etc One of the things that is troubling me though is finding listening material thats appropriate for elementary school kids(5th and 6th graders)
Its kind of annyoing becasue these kids clearly listen to everything at home, but in school we just cant get away with letting them listen to stuf thats sexually or violently explicit. SO help me find some songs from good rap artists that you think might work for me. Thanks |

Talib Kweli and Mos Def (although some of their songs do have "curses" the content is very clean and actually often inspiring, intelligent, etc...)
