Razz Hand- Too TIght/Weak on fourth?
Just wondering if anyone would consider peeling here. I know std razz says I have the odds to call given the reraise if I have two good in hole, just wasn't sure if a 10 was consider "good" enough here to take a card.
Also, I raised here thinking I most likely had the better hand and wanted to get heads up with the a good chance of taking it down on 4th. Haven't seen villian make any wild plays, so her reraise gave me a fair bit of concern. **This was also played on stars with the low ante structure Razz(converter) 3rd Street - (0.80 SB) Seat 1: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___calls___raises Hero: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___raises___calls Seat 3: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___folds Seat 4: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds Seat 5: xx xx Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___folds Seat 6: xx xx Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds Seat 7: xx xx 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds Seat 8: xx xx T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___folds 4th Street - (5.30 SB) Seat 1: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___bets Hero: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___folds Total pot: (5.30 SB) |

Just fold 3rd. Nobody folds after limping, ever. 4th is a definite fold.

Your raise is horrible on third, whats it's purpose? Did you have a 4th street plan? Did you stop to consider that the villain might re-raise you just because he has a lower card on the board than you do, and thats his defense mechanism? Most importantly - why would you want to put more money in this pot when you have such a feeble holding? TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

Fold third. Fold fourth. Fold fifth if it comes to that.

Re: Razz Hand- Too TIght/Weak on fourth?
Easy fold on 4th. Your hand is a disaster with 2 face cards.
I would limp behind on 3rd. There are no other low cards out. Villain didn't raise to steal, so he probably does not have a better hand than you. Just hope you catch good and villain catches bad, and you should be able to take it down. Folding 3rd seems pretty weak. The limp doesn't cost much compared to the size of the pot. I limp behind 3rd, but I don't think the raise is that bad. You may have a raise for value, and you are representing strength. Unless you think villain limps 3 wheel cards here to trap, the raise is reasonable. |

Re: Razz Hand- Too TIght/Weak on fourth?
I've come to realize just how horrible high cards are for your chances. I fold 3rd as is. If it were still heads up and my 4 was up, I would argue that calling third is not out of the question. If you hit low on fourth and your opponent catches high, you can bet and likely take it down. Like many more or less fancy poker plays, it's not wise to try it whenever you get the chance just to be fancy, but I think it's a decent play for your Razz arsenal.
Fourth street there is no debate. You must realize that ALL remaining cards you catch must be quite low. In other words, you are going for a runner-runner-runner or bust. (You'll bust far more than enough to make caling down unprofitable regardless of your opponent) |

Re: Razz Hand- Too TIght/Weak on fourth?
The main issue I have is the hand history.
Its looks like the initial bring-in details is missing. Am I correct in assuming Seat 4 was the bring-in, and then seat 1 is calling the bring-in or is this calling a complete. The only time I would play 3rd is to raise to an op that has been making regular steal attempts at me, and has shown that they are making intelligent plays and laydowns. If they tend to call/raise all the time then just fold. 4th fold.... |

Re: Razz Hand- Too TIght/Weak on fourth?
It looks like seat 1 limpreraised on 3rd. In that case, the initial raise isn't terrible, but you have to fold to the limpreraise, as it is likely you are a big dog.

Re: Razz Hand- Too TIght/Weak on fourth?
why were you worried about being heads up on 3rd?
The converter is messing up the action, but none of those other up cards look scary. If the 6 came in after the 4 or the T then how can you think you have the best hand? |
