I'm always up for a good Woody Allen movie so I'm gonna go with Love and Death.

Love and Death from me too. [/ QUOTE ] Same here. Only one on the list that I haven't seen and definately a film I'd like to see. /edit but I'd be happy to re-watch any of the films from that list... they are all good. |

I choose Love and Death.
I should probably choose Rocky, since I have never seen it (I know, gasp) but I have never seen Love and Death either, and apparently it comes highly recommended on here. I also suspect that it will have more substance about which we can discuss, allowing for a more interesting discussion. |

Having seen three of these I'm going to go for Oldboy or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Either is fine. Oldboy I guess would be my first choice, since it is already in my queue. |

Re: DVD Club week 1/2 nominations + voting
Nice list Mrs. Utah. I've seen them all, and here's my thoughts...
Oldboy - If a lot of you haven't seen this yet, this discussion could be very interesting. The director was a philosophy major and Hitchcock devotee. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - I thought this movie was hilarious, and I'd very much enjoy a discussion about the finer points of it. Rudy - Half the viewers will cry, the other half will be blinded by their Notre Dame hatred. I'll probably be in the second group. Love and Death - Might be the headiest discussion of the bunch, but I'm not sure how many of us are up enough on our philosophy and Russian literature to get half the jokes. Rocky - It's a timely pick, but I'm sure most of us have seen it, so in a list this good it'd be a shame to pick it over something most of us haven't seen. Oldboy, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Love & Death should all be in your queue if you haven't seen them. I'd be happy with any of them, but I guess I'll throw the vote out there for Love and Death since it's been longest since I saw it. |

Is membership closed? I'd like to join if possible
FWIW, I would pick Oldboy. Never seen it and have heard amazing things about it. |
