A9, Blind battle, river
Villain is unknown, but typical bad small stakes player
Folded to you in SB with A9o. Villain calls. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] You bet, he raises, you take him to 3town, he rides shotgun and calls. Turn 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] bet/call River 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |

Re: A9, Blind battle, river
Maybe add an option for b/c, because that's what we should be doing here....

Re: A9, Blind battle, river
He'll call a bet with a 9 often enough. But I'm too much of a wuss and will probably C/C... I've been trying to fix that.

c/c
Many worse hands will bet when checked to here. I am not a b/f the river fan in almost every instance. |

Re: A9, Blind battle, river
Bet/fold.
Tons of worse hands will call but check behind if you check. |

Re: A9, Blind battle, river
Alot of hands are checking behind here that you get value from. Bet/fold.

Re: A9, Blind battle, river
C/C. Checking here looks like overplayed high cards. If you check he will bet a 9x, 7x or even 2x along with pocket pairs below 9 (if he had TT or up, I think he would have raised the turn). You beat everything but the 7x combos. You might even get him to bet Ax - I see it all the time from seemingly rational players.
Given the number of hands that he will bet that you beat versus those hands he will fold or raise if you bet first I think inducing a river bet is the way to go here. |
