Well he wasnt't a friend or anything, but when I was 14 or so, I worked as a dishwasher in a local retaurant. A cook that worked there, a really quiet, loner type, kidnapped a lady and cut her feet off. It was really freaky that the "weird guy", really was the "weird guy".

my friend was arrested for challenging a police officer to a game of goldeneye. The cop was being a dick and my friend said "You're pretty tough with your gun. I bet i could own you at Goldeneye". The cop was not amused and asked him if he wanted to be a tough guy because the cop would put him on the ground in a second. My friend said "Slappers only" and slapped the cop across the face.

In my friend's defense, the cop and his partner were being incredible [censored] and had just given him a ticket for drinking in public when he was drinking a bottle of water. They slapped it out of his hand when he offered it to them to prove it wasnt vodka. He was really drunk and they were being unproffessional douche bags. Because of the way they handled the situation so poorly, he ended up with only a ticket for public intoxication despite being arrested for assaulting a police officer. Hold on im going to try and find a link to the news paper article.

Jesus, a year ago, my bball coach from elementary school (at the time he was caught, he was still teaching at the same school) was arrested for child porn. The porn was apparently of little kids and he said it's not hurting anyone because they were all from Russia [img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]

Just recently, a 35 year old guy who used to coach my high school bball was arrested for child porn. At the time of arrest, he was promoted to athletic director at a rival highschool just blocks away from my old high school.

It's weird because he was a really, really cool guy and EVERYONE liked him. There weren't any details on how old the people were in the porn pics though but either way, it's still weird.

Nicholas Ribich faces four charges for allegedly kidnapping Canadian Forces Capt. Patrick Rechner and Capt. Oldrich Zidlik of the Czech Republic on May 26, 1995 during the Bosnia-Herzegovenia conflict...Televised images of Rechner in handcuffs were broadcast around the world in 1995 as NATO planes bombed Serb positions in Bosnia. He was also attached to a lightning rod in the middle of an ammunition dump. It is believed he was held as insurance against further bombing.

Ribich, the 28-year-old Canadian-born son of a Yugoslav-born father, left Canada in 1995, allegedly to join Serb forces in Bosnia.

Closest I came to someone was a camp couselor. I was in his cabin one year with about 6 other boys. We were all about 12-14. He seemed like a cool guy, just a little too touchy sometimes so the slightly older kids would rag on him for being a pedo. Turns out about two years later that he was actually formally accused and convicted. Although they didn't release all the details, I know he had child porn on his computer, the same computer he would use all the time in the room with us.

The thing that creeped me out the most was that a few times when he was sitting next to me, he would joke around with me and just casually put his arms around me. When he teased me he would actually say that he was just trying to "get a rise out of me." The whole time he was the one getting the rise. That was highly disturbing.

I think the most bizarre thing was this kid I went to high school with. After he graduated, he and some buddy of his break into a house... rape and old lady - killing her. Then they steal her fridge(!?!?)... and end up getting chased by the cops. This guy's buddy ends up shooting himself in the face, while the kid I knew goes to jail for a very long time.

The newspapers were all over it, pictures of him all over the local press. The only pic of him they seemed to use was him in his football jersey. It weirded me out because it was the same jersey I wore the previous year. When reporters talked to teachers and stuff - they always said he was 'a good kid'. BS, if there was a kid that was destined to be in jail for the rest of his life... it'd be him.

On a side note (to go with the pedo stories)... my fiance was watching the news the other night and saw a guy who got booked for child porn. The same guy we bought our condo from a year and a half ago. *shudder* He apparently runs a kids gymnastics studio.
