Alternative proposal (NOHURT)
If the U.S. government really wants to do something that will protect its poker playing citizens, they should ban the damn river. I’m sick of these people sucking out on the river and I believe this is the biggest complaint and problem that poker players face today.
It should be easy enough to do. Surely there is some proposed anti-pollution bill, water bill, or fish and wildlife bill with overwhelming support that we could sneak this onto the back of with hardly anybody realizing it. The proposed New Online Holdem Unlawful River Temperance (known hereafter as NOHURT) will consist of the following points: 1) All online Holdem hands will be deemed complete after the turn card. 2) Financial institutions will no longer accept electronic transactions to or from poker sites that continue the practice of allowing unlawful river cards. 3) ISPs will monitor all games, and for any site that disregards this act and continues to produce a fifth card on the board, the ISP of the player who is about to benefit from such river card shall immediately cut access to the site, forcing said player's hand to be folded. 4) Special access to the river card will be granted to those players with a ticket for the current day’s state sanctioned lottery, and for those playing at an authorized OTB location while betting on horses. |

Re: Alternative proposal (NOHURT)
How about the International 100 Big Blind Pact or I100BBP (its a pun!)
This would ensure that all NL games require 100BB or higher buy in. You can't buy a lottery ticket for 62 cents and expect to only get 62% of the winnings! |
