2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
ok, this is 2/5 at the trop.
utg in the hand is completely new. this is his first hand. he has $500. utg+1 is a solidish player who talks alot about pokerstars tourneys. he seems awful though. he makes really weird plays, almost too much fps. if anything he seems a bit too over-aggro, but we've only played for like two hours or so, so i dunno. his stack is $~600. i cover both. ok. so in the hand, we're 9 handed, utg limps. utg+1 limps. two other guys limp in. sb completes, i in the bb with T6o. flop is KT6 with two spades. i lead for $25. utg raises to $60. utg+1 cold calls. everyone folds. i call the small raise. is this the first mistake? turn is an offsuit 9. i check (another mistake?). utg bets $150. utg+1 goes all in. i think and do what? |

Re: 2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
You have to raise the flop
Turn check given action is a little weak but ok. Fold is standard given reads. |

Re: 2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
obv fold on turn, but i would probably raise the flop to about $200... lots of money in the pot on a draw heavy board, and you're losing to KT and nothing else. you aren't going to get paid off by worse hands very often, but i think you need to protect your hand here.

Re: 2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
You have to fold here. I would make the flop 215ish. Also, I think it's fairly important which card is not a spade on the flop, and do you have the 6s or the 10s.

Re: 2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
i would bet bigger on the flop, say 35 and folded to the raise/cc. as played a call is ok to re-eval and i think turn check/fold is good.

Re: 2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
definitely fold to turn action.
i think your other plays are just fine though. On the turn, 3-betting is pretty meh. You're better off checking a safe turn then putting more money in. 9 is not at all a safe turn. and I like your check, so you can see what both other players think about that turn before you act. obviously, when one raises the other, you're done with the hand. |

Re: 2/5 live. i hate laying down big hands
I think your flop and turn play is okay/good. Definately fold now though. UTG+1 has QJ like always.
