Last night I was playing and had pocket aces before the flop, there were a few calls, I raised and then was reraised. Everyone else dropped out. I reraised and then my only oppoent who was on the short stack went all in, I called and he showed pocket aces also. Neither of us improved and the pot was shared.
Can anyone tell me what the odds are for two pocket aces to be dealt in a game of ten players I have been playing for some time and never seen it Regards Ron |

The site you were on must have been rigged to collect more rake from the table. Pocket Aces cannot face pocket aces. I've read that you have a better chance of being struck by lightning.

I understand what you are saying but people do get struck by lightening. I have even seen accounts on TV programmes of the same person being struck twice, so there must be odds no matter how great and the sight may not be rigged, lightening just struck!

The odds that 2 players get dealt aces at a 10-player table is 6,024 to 1. However, if you hold pocket aces, the odds that someone else holds aces is 135 to 1. I'll spare everyone the math unless you really want to know.

I've seen Aces to 2 people same hand happen a couple times on-line but never live. I have seen 10s and Kings dealt to the two different people on the same hand live though.
