I'm pretty sure this girl farted and I need some opinions

Here is the situation: 3 guys and 1 girl
We have been watching a movie pretty attentively with no talking between the four of us. The girl is laying down and suddenly exclaims to the three of us that a kitten has farted. She then makes sure to tack on "well unless one of you guys did it." The other two buy the story but me? I start laughing so hard I fall out of my chair.

What are the odds it was her that farted? I have done the misdirection trick myself and her sudden statement just seems very odd.
