No, he's fine. Looking more and more like himself each time out. Good time to start getting action on him before the line really starts moving up. Good money for all.

Good luck with that I myself will believe it when I see it and change my strategy accordingly. I was still very unimpressed with yesterdays performance.

[/ QUOTE ]

Looking good so far. Yesterday was my first bet on him this year, and I see many more coming. I like money.

Could you be a little more arrogant? If you're such a great capper, why are you just starting to place bets 110 games into the season?

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, you are going to have to work on your reading comprehension.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oops, you're right. Cut out the second sentence of my last post.

jlmillerds,

How are you feeling about Prior and the Cubs against the Brewers tomorrow?

I know my opinion isn't as valuable as jl's is but I don't see a bet. Maybe slight value on the Cubs but not enough for me. Prior and Davis are currently very similar (crappy!). Both have substandard control at this point although Prior has been more apt to give up the long ball. Brewers have a better offense but Cubs have actually been playing well and hitting well lately.

I have a fair value line at about 115 and Pinnys line right now is +122 Cubs and -130 Brewers. If the Cubs moved out to around +130 I might start sniffing around.

I decided to bet against Prior every game from now on until he improves (I'm sure you can tell I'm a very experienced handicapper). Looking good so far today!

Looks like he's getting better with each outting, and is set for a very strong final 7 weeks.

More importantly 4 more walks and another hit batter. His control just isn't there which is symptomatic of bigger problems. If you can't throw strikes you get behind and when you get behind everybody is a .350 hitter. I'm guessing another DL stint isn't far off because right now he's not a major league pitcher.
