KK in BB: Control my speed
No meaningful stats, but CO has gotten frisky in the last few hands.
1. Too fast at the beginning? 2. Too slow at the end? 3. What does MP1 have? I suspect I may have cracked his aces but who knows. Re: KK in BB: Control my speed
With MP1 capping, it seems like a good time for a c/r to trap the field.
Turn is fine. 3-bet the river. It's hard to put your opponent on a straight draw given the action, and you're more than likely good. If you got busted, so be it. |

Re: KK in BB: Control my speed
Why did you donk into the preflop capper on the flop?
No one with decent outs is leaving on the flop, even if faced with 2 bets. So I would feel its more beneficial to disguise your hand a little, wait for a non diamond turn card to really turn it up. My line would have been to check call the flop and check raise the turn. As played re-raise the river. |

No meaningful stats, but CO has gotten frisky in the last few hands. [/ QUOTE ] That's not really a meaningful read, either. What does "gotten frisky" signify? If it means that he's loosened up preflop but is still only pressing with solid made hands post, then your line is fine. (There is a straight on the board, folks, and he knows by the betting that you don't have a better piece of it than he does.) If it means that he's been over-playing his hands in an effort to push people off pots with air or non-nut made hands, then by all means 3-bet the river and call a cap. If you just put that in there to have something to say, then you should use a default line and 3-bet and call the cap. Your hand's too strong to not get your money in on the off chance that an unknown Villan cold-called twice preflop with 96. (Oh, and btw, MP1 did no have aces.) |

[/ QUOTE ] It's closest to this: he'd loosened up and started raising and playing more pots, losing one at showdown and driving everyone out on a couple of previous hands. Not the type, from what I saw, that would bother with 96 PF. My river call was born of "WTF did you raise me on that river card for?" confusion. I never said I was good at this game.
