Re: Will Dusty Baker ever be hired as a manager again?
I'd be shocked if they fired Duhsty before the season ends. Henduhry is also talking about giving him an extension. This team is clueless. I'd suspect that Baker would spend a max of one year not managing before somebody else hires him.

Re: Will Dusty Baker ever be hired as a manager again?
Their team blows without their three best players, not much a manager can do...

Re: Will Dusty Baker ever be hired as a manager again?
Lee is the only regular position player out. Cubs are dead last in the majors in runs, hits, homers, RBIs, total bases, extra base hits, walks, OBP, slugging, and OPS. They have hit into the 2nd most DPs in the league. Derrek Lee or no Derrek Lee, this is a pathetic excuse for a team.

This team has 6 second baseman on their roster, and they're all Dusty's players except the good one - Walker.

Re: Will Dusty Baker ever be hired as a manager again?
The 2nd base situation is ever uglier when you see that prospect Ryan Theriot was on the roster for about a month and had 4 PA. Dusty instead gave PA to the likes of Neifi Perez, Jerry Hairston Jr, John Mabry, etc.

Dusty will always have a job available for him.
It's sad, but true. |
