Can someone tell me about the poker chip sets at Party Poker Store. Are they of good quality and worth getting?
Thanks |

I'll admit I haven't looked at them but if you're looking for a home game chipset check out PSO's nevada jacks promotion.

I ordered them because I don't play big enough to buy anything cool. They are your typical 11.5g "dice" chips with the Party logo on them. They are cool for free, but there are only 300 in the set so you better have a smallish home game.
I was very impressed with the casino quality cards. Hope this helps a bit. ![]() |

Dice chips are just the design for most of the chips you see in stores or on EBay or wherever. These look about the same quality. They are not real clay chips though. Still I dont mind them, I got a set last year (not from Party). They are good, and cheap enough for me.

they seem to be made out of cheap clay... and they smell kind of funny. as a positive, for me at least, they make less noise when you shuffle them. i would not recommend these as your main set of chips if that's what you're looking for. as a wannabe collector's item or even a just in case extra set... they're aiight.

I thought they could be of good value for 12000 Party Points.
Any good review at all? If not, I better try to get some from PSO. |

Sorry if this is retardedly bumped. I just found this thread via search as I was wondering if someone knew more about these chips.
I just got these chips in the mail today. The box says that they are 13.5 grams fwiw. They're probably the best non-casino chips I've used before. I've used a lot of the ebay sets and a few of the wal-mart sets and the Party Store set is my favorite so far. Other sets tend to either be too slippery, too light, and/or too loud. The texture of these combined with the weight means that a stack of 20+ high isn't as likely to be falling over every time someone bumps into the table. Plus they aren't super loud with shuffeling, etc. They look nice too. You do need to buy more than one set if you want to have a decent game with reasonable stack-sizes for whatever you're playing. The center with the party logo on it is definitely some kind of insert. Wheather it's metal or plastic or something else, I haven't a clue. Box says that they are clay chips but I have no clue. The picture shows the contents, but just so everyone knows - 2 decks of cards (ok quality) 300 chips dealer/blinds buttons keys to lock case with 5 dice |
