You must bet more on the flop and turn, you gave him correct odds to call all the time, especially with implied odds which obviously were valid seeing as you shoved the river for no good reason.

If you play such a passive game with such a strong hand, you'll have bad beat stories a mile long.
If you play it more aggressively, you'll be more profitable. I reckon 60% - 100% of the pot on the flop would've been good, and once you've seen the call, push it. |
