What I am getting at is that in the 1/2 NL live games I play, people WAY WAY WAY overvalue TPTK, 2 Pair and Sets. If you can hit a straight (nut straight with JT) or flush, your implied odds are often their stack.

To be honest in the games I have played in (1/2 NL Live) I prefer JTs to AQo.

Time to come clean - I was the SB in this hand, and Hero folded.
See the post "I flopped the nuts (a different persective)" for the play from my actual point of view.
I don't know what he saw in me that scared him off, but I guess I gotta work on my poker face.

I see that, but some people say the nuts meaning the best hand, not the best possible hand. 89 would be the nuts, but JJ would be the nuts vs TJ

Raising preflop and check-raising the flop after a bet and a raise screams 'I have a freaking monster'. If you had lead the flop you would have gotten both players. As it happene his laydown was a mistake, so never mind.

I had 8d9d, BB had QJo - turn was a (scary) K, river a blank.

You might try covering up those sharp, pointy horns for a start...
