OT: whats life like after the 215\'s?
i ask this because alot of the people who used to be in the 215's sorta disappeared. some of my friends doesnt play 1000 215's anymore and sorta just doing different things but nothing concrete. they are basically stuck at 2-300k a year. although i know thats preety good but since i am about to move to the 215's soon, i am just interested to know how life is like for a graduated 215'er. cash? mtt's? bigger live games? bigger sngs just doesnt run often. so whats next?
ps: we should all ask the party guy who posts here to add more REGULAR (not steps) levels in the sngs. maybe 500+30? i bet more people would play it if it was a regular sng not a step. |

[/ QUOTE ] Out of curiosity, exactly how many friends do have that are "stuck at 2-300K a year" playing poker? While there are currently plenty of players who've hit big scores, I don't know (nor have I ever hear of) a professional player who plays lower than the 4000/8000 game at the Bellagio who would seriously claim to average 300K a year. Danny Negreanu has said for years that he considers his tournament ROI to be 100%. So, if he buys-in to $150K in tournaments a year he would be over 50K short of what your friends earn. I definitely don't want to play poker against these dudes, that's for sure. Irieguy |

Re: OT: whats life like after the 215\'s?
all throughout gradeschool i was stuck at around 350k a year, it really bothered me because most of me friends were around 425-450k per yr. that was about three years ago when i was playing the $215s online. after the $215s i said screw it and went straight to the $20ks, they run about once or twice a day but playing for that many chips really gets the heart pumpin.

The only way that I am aware of that you can average more money than 8 tabling $215s is through cash games.

Irieguy [/ QUOTE ] ok maybe im exagerating but a 215'er making 200k+ is realistic isnt it? even a 109'er who play on average 1000 sngs with a roi of around 10% can make well over 6 figures with rakeback. what am i missing here... |

Re: OT: whats life like after the 215\'s?
I started playing poker with 3 other people many years ago, all of them make 200k+ per year playing poker (this is a VERY conservative figure also).
