boring QQ preflop.
EP is open pushing any two and has thrown a party for the table (check the stacks) Auto-call if not for MP caller. But he called. Now what? Not only did he call, but he didn't push. What do you do in this situation?
Note: MP is a good player and is probably aware that he's smooth calling, not pushing into me. This can be taken either way, he's got a hand not worthy of 500! bb's, or he's got aa. What do you do? 500bb's is crazy with qq, but i might be ahead. Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $386.45 UTG+1: $394.85 CO: $1070.46 Button: $1436.05 Hero: $1715.02 BB: $195 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises all-in $386.45, UTG+1 folds, CO calls $386.45, Button folds, Hero ?????? |

Re: boring QQ preflop.
I imagine that most villains would be a bit scared of losing 500bbs and would push AA here.
I obviously don't like pushing but i think a fold is out of the question as well. I would just call and hope for unders. Villain isn't going to be bluffing a dry sidepot. |

[/ QUOTE ] Pot will be $1100 and how do you know Villian is just not protecting his 88 against your percieved AK in a huge [censored] pot? How much money would you put in before you're convinced he's got you beat? I think preflop is all-in or fold. |

Re: boring QQ preflop.
Preflop is definitely all-in or fold...I think you're big against villain's hand range, and on top of that if he folds, there's a lot of dead money in the pot probably going your way.

I would just call and hope for unders. [/ QUOTE ] This doesn't make sense. If you're going to stack off if the flop comes unders (and lose to AA KK) then why give 3 free cards to AK or JJ or whatever else? I think this is fold or push. |

What is MP's range for a call/fold? Esp having to call 600 into a 1900 pot? |

Re: boring QQ preflop.
Hi crosse.
1. This post makes me want to play 6 max. 2. You can easily solve this by plugging in UtGs range and CO' range into PokerStove. I think you will see JJ+TT or worse just as often as AA/KK here. If your bankroll can handle it this looks like a push. |
