Re: What do I do?
Fold preflop.
Check/fold flop. (Fold flurn if one occurs) Insta fold turn. Can you give ANY rationalization as to why you played any street of this hand in the fashion you played it? |

Limped on a whim Bet the flop when everyone checked Called the re-raise on the draw and because I figured it was a standard C/R from the BB |

Re: What do I do?
1) Don't limp on a whim. 54o sucks. If you ever play 54o, it should be from one of the blinds when nobody raises preflop.
2) Bluffing the flop with position is not always a bad idea when you aren't going to call if anyone check/raises, when it's just a pure bluff. However, you now have a hand which really wants to see a turn card cheaply to possibly improve to the nuts or near-nuts. If you had a 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] here, I wouldn't hate the bet because you have such a monster draw that you don't mind a check/raise because you can push over it. You can't stand a C/R because your hand is weak, here but you do want to see the next card. Check. 3) I have no idea what a "standard C/R" is but when I have a terrible hand and nothing but an OESD and the BB check/raises me on a complete rag board, and I'm getting worse than 2:1 odds to call the raise, I don't call. If you are convinced that he's on a total steal, you could reraise him again. I wouldn't, I fold now. You tried a bluff and it failed, give up. You should have just checked in the first place to see if the turn improved your hand. |

Re: What do I do?
i fold to the rr on the flop
bottom open ended and there is a potential flush draw you have to fold on the turn regardless though. |

Re: What do I do?
Oh, and, if not completely obvious, fold the turn.
Even if he's on a total bluff, he's ahead of you, since you are pretty close to the nut low right now. I'll assume he has at least 1 pair, so your only outs are 3's and maybe 8's. There's even a very chance you're drawing dead if he had T8, and a slightly higher chance that an 8 would give him a better straight. So I'd count it as around 7.5 clean outs, discounting for the off chance that he has a better straight or could draw to one. That gives you a roughly 16% chance of winning, or about 6:1. It would cost you 1410 to win 2585, which is about 1.8:1. If you can't instafold that, you need to work on your math. |

Re: What do I do?
Yea, I did fold. Not insta, so I gotta work on my quick math skills. BTW, just played 4h5h in the SB, (4 limpers in total) flopped openended to Q high board and insta-folded to the BBs all-in. I'm learning, eh?
