Villain is on the borderline between a TAG and LAG. He's pretty aggressive obviously and can make moves. I'm a bit unsure which line I should take. He should view me as a TAG (hopefully a good one ). Any suggestions about which line I should take?

With your read (in fact, against most opponents) I would check flop, but if you bet it, call fasho and see what develops.

I think I call and fold to most turn bets
On the turn the pot is 200 with 300 effective left to bet. I don't think he'll fire off half his stack there on a bluff or semibluff, so if he bets you're likely pretty smoked (even if the turn is the 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]) If he checks the turn you have a lot of options, but I'd probably checkbehind and evaluate the river. |

Call, look for a safe turn, I would put A/K/T/spade in the range of bad turns for us.

[/ QUOTE ] Please, elaborate why you like a check on flop - your arguments are probably avoid getting CR, induce bluffs and get value from weaker hands on later streets. But I doubt it isn't better to just bet, b/c we most likely have the best hand, it's good to protect and we want to balance for the times we CB and even if he CR we isn't in a horrible spot. Ski, I have played w/ him a bit but it was a while ago and I don't remember if he CR on flop abnormally much. The only thing I remember is that he can get tricky, is pretty loose and aggressive. |

I like a flop call and I'd shove now. I would sometimes check behind and call 2 bets (or 0 or 1 if board becomes scary), so that me checking a flop behind doesn't mean I've given up.
