Re: Standard AK pf spot
I'd 4bet and call a shove.

Re: Standard AK pf spot
lego with ak here your flipping at best, I'd either fold and wait for more information and a better spot or call and re evaluate on the flop. your out of position against an unknown with a drawing hand...

[/ QUOTE ] I can't think of a worse play than folding here. We raised in CO, so it's possible BTN think's we're doing this with Ajunk or random crap. I definitely 4bet here. If he shoves, this makes it a much tougher decision. I think I'd find my way to the fold button, though, w/0 any reads. |

Re: Standard AK pf spot
bsball what would u be looking at for the 4bet? $10 -$11? basically pot committed with a decent 4bet and what do we do on the flop if we miss? Cbet how much? c/f? bluff push? against an unknown i think I'd call at best but maybe I'm just a nit haha

Re: Standard AK pf spot
4-bet/call is clearly the best line. folding is real bad

Re: Standard AK pf spot
maybe its just the site i play on but at this level i don't find many players 3betting weak aces or air against unknowns. pretty standard abc poker for the most part... but i stand corrected about the fold.

[/ QUOTE ] People will fold a lot of hands that your flipping with but are slightly ahead of you like 77-JJ to your 4bet. Also they'll fold a lot of other stuff they were raising with to your 4bet...basically you'll win right there most of the time. That's basically were a lot of the value comes from. And if you're flipping who cares. The money in the pot makes it +ev. And even against QQ+ AK has ~32% equity. Folding would be really bad. |
