10/20 iPoker hand vs. Erdnase2...
Villain is Erdnase2.. not a strong read on him yet but seems to be a strong 10/20 multi-tabler at 23/19... I would guess his read on me is quite similar.
6-handed, $2000 eff, Folds to VILLAIN on button, who makes it $60. HERO in SB calls with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], BB folds Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (pot=$140) HERO checks, VILLAIN bets $80, HERO raises to $265, VILLAIN calls. Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] check check River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (pot=$670) HERO checks, VILLAIN bets $440. HERO thinks about making a HERO call. Anyone who knows results, hush. If you don't call, how strong do you need to be? If you do call, how much weaker will you go? |

Re: 10/20 iPoker hand vs. Erdnase2...
There aren't many hands with a medium amount of showdown value that I would get to this spot in. My range here would be pretty polarized between really weak garbage (such as A3) and really strong hands I'd be check raising the river with. If I had KQ or AT I would almost certainly have valuebet somewhere.
That said, I can certainly see an argument for a call here if you think he is a new regular. I'm sure he has a float here a decent portion of the time, and whether or not you showdown a winner here this hand is going to stick in his mind and give you a really stubborn image. If I call here I call QJ, but that's about it. |

Re: 10/20 iPoker hand vs. Erdnase2...
it depends how well you think he is able to value bet. if he can bet any ten here and up like this (ldo he should be able to) then it's a fold in my opinion. If he isn't, then i might consider a call fo sho.

[/ QUOTE ] i dont see why a ten is a really easy vbet for villain here, because like kod said, i think leforts range is pretty polarized... at probs is but i dunno how much smaller id go... this is basically the crux of this problem tho... what do you think he does with AT and T9? also the 4 is obv not a blank, but its not such a bad card, so it doesnt totally turn the hand on its ear. i think its probs an okay call and the metagame is pretty sweet. |

Re: 10/20 iPoker hand vs. Erdnase2...
Given that your basically readless I think fold is probably best but call is prob fine because its not thaaaaaat -ev + metagame.
The thing is this whole hand depends on how wide villain can vbet and I don't think you really have any idea. One thought that crossed my mind can he ever be bluffing a better hand? |

[/ QUOTE ] Not worse than A3 but that's why Lefort asked what the worst hand you call with is (I think anything worse than QJ has a chance at being up against a bluff with a better hand). @bigt, I don't think most villains are gonna bet a naked ten here, trying to get value out of ace high in this spot is sooo [censored] thin I feel like it could get you in a lot of trouble vs someone like lefort. |
