Hi! I converted from NL10 to micro SnGs, well, because it seemed more fun. I've downloaded the trial of SnGWizard and played around with it, and i'm definately able to pwn the bubble at the 3.40s, because people are so passive.
The problem is getting to the bubble. Until there is 5 players left or the BB reaches 150 chips, i'll only play AK and pairs. Pairs depend on my stack in relation to the blinds and so, but i'll gennerally raise JJ+, maybe TT in pos., and limp with the others for set mining if i can afford it. The stars 3.40s is turbo SnGs so when i don't get anything decent, ill have around 1200 at the 150 level. Here we have around 5-7 players left... How the hell am i supposed to get a medium/big stack when we are 4 players left with 9 big blinds? SngWiz says that i should push AJ+ and 99+ in that situation (of course it depends on other players, their stacks and position, but gennerally speaking). Being a short stack is tough, please help me reach the bubble so i can pwn it. :P |

you can def push more than AJ and 99, depending on position for sure pal.

What would you recommend pushing then? Just, roughly.

i go all in here
there is a decent chance you get called by worse aces too here and the blinds will hit pretty hard. |

I do not push a 6.6 BB stack with AT into 6 people, readless.

I don't think the AT hand is a bad push, it may be a bit -EV (not done numbers) but I'd rather jam now than wait until the blinds hit and leave us in a weaker position. Tricky situation though.

[/ QUOTE ] UTG 13.3%, 33+ A9s+ A5s AJo+ K9s+ KQo QTs+ JTs T9s That is an approximation of the nash equlibrium range in your hand. So push slightly more if they call too tight and slightly less if they call too loose. Since you are about to be hit by the BB you can probably also adjust by pushing slightly looser. |

I think that range is way to wide for a 3.4 especially with 6 people behind you. Magaca, I'm also a micro donk, but I'm trying to transfer the other way (SNG's to cash). My winrate wasn't godlike but it was decent. If you're interested I would enjoy trading hand histories, and maybe just talking general poker. PM me if you feel like helping eachother out

Hi Magica,
I wrote an article that may help you get there, titled The Mistakes Low-Limit SNG Players are Making the Most... here's a link: http://www.pocketfives.com/351CDE50-...0BE50925A.aspx Hope it helps! Jen |
