Default 1-2.....tough spot against (preflop) maniac

Villain has the stats 77.8/44.4/2.5/ after 27 hands.

Full ring game..

Preflop:
2 folds, Villain raises, 2 folds, I 3bet with KT, 3 folds, Villain calls.

Flop 3c 8h Qd (7.5 SB)
Villain checks, I bet, he calls.

Turn Qc (4.75BB)
Villain checks, I bet, now Villain checkraises me..

I know almost for sure he doesn't have a Q...but I don't know what to do..

Hero?

Wow, I thought those kind of maniacs only existed in B&M.

I personally would not 3 bet isolate the maniac with KT. I really don’t like KT and don’t think it is a very strong hand. Still he is raising 44% preflop, so maybe this is not too bad.

The problem I always have with maniacs is they play junk hands the same as quality hands. Too many times when I try to take them on, it turns out they have a quality hand better than mine.

Since I don’t play online, don’t take what I say very seriously. I will let the online players comment

Preflop: Good

Flop: Good

Turn: You can either bet intending to call down if villian raises or you can probably do the 'turn value check' line from WITHG (checking the turn but calling/raising any river). Key here is not folding.

Preflop is borderline. I don't like it, but meh.

Hero folds. Am I missing something here? This looks really standard.

You are missing a lot. Folding is terrible. We will often be ahead and those times we arn't we almost always have six outs.

Ignore me; I'm exhausted.

Are you talking about preflop? I'm ok with the preflop but I don't think it's great. I guess I just don't really have a lot of experience with this type of player. Fortunately, I play at a cardroom overflowing with passive as opposed to maniacal donkeys.

I meant on the turn.

I do like the preflop 3bet but it's close... mostly because we have a fair number of active players behind it. It really hurts when somebody else joins us in the fun.

If you do anything other than fold this turn you are now the maniac. Wait for a better spot.

The weird thing about those pokerforums is that everyone thinks in a different way. Now I still don't know what's the right thing to do. 1 says call down, the other fold.... ... .. ?

if you dont know how to handle a CR then consider checking behind the turn and calling a river bet when maniac bets 9 high.
