Re: EDMONTON LIVE GAMES
There was a thread on this back in August of this year, with some good responses: Live Poker Canada/Edmonton. You may recognize the Original Poster.
Also, see this thread with detailed responses from July: Edmonton, Alberta poker rooms |

Re: EDMONTON LIVE GAMES
I know that I wrote that post. I asked someone at PM but he didnt answere. So I want to know if there is one guy here or girl who knows where a NL Holdem game is, should please contact me.
I know all the Casinos and wrote one of them an Email. That Casino is a little bit above downtown so I wanna know its worth to take the bus to it on FR or SA night ? I mean when these Casino close at 2 I have to be there at 3pm or something like that. I am sorry if you think I am lazy to read my own posts ! |

Re: EDMONTON LIVE GAMES
James, all of our poker rooms are open 24 hours and they all will spread 1-2 NL. If those are your only requirements, simply pick the most convenient casino.

Re: EDMONTON LIVE GAMES
I've tried 3 different casinos in Edmonton, and they all spread 1/2 NL. The games are very soft and pots are often closer to what you would expect from 2/4 NL.
For some reason, I prefer Casino Edmonton on Argyll. It is not the biggest nor the nicest, but has a nice atmosphere. As far as I know, it is also the closest if you live near the University. Casino Yellowhead and River Cree are both seem bigger and nicer, but I am not as comfortable there. |

Re: EDMONTON LIVE GAMES
Just back from Edmonton this weekend. I played Friday night at Casino Edmonton. The action was ridiculous. Playing 1/2 NL Dealer's Choice (also a 2/5 version available). Three players had more than $1000 in front of them (two of them had bought way more chips than that in the course of the evening), another had $800 and a couple others were in $500 stacks (the max buy-in at 1/2).
There were so many terrible players with complete disregard for money, it was awesome. Would play again. Best example of terrible with disregard money...in 1/2 NL Omaha, one guy got all-in preflop with KK94ss for 250 BBs. Of course, he was aces and was forced to ease another 5 brown bills off his clip. The room is a slight bit scuzzy though. |
