Live 10/20 playing 7 handed. Two 2+2ers in the game (plus me) so it's much tougher than usual.
Folded to me on the button and I raise 88. SB folds, BB calls. BB is loose preflop. Plays poorly in general. Flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] He checks I bet he calls. Turn is a 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He checks I bet he calls. River is probably a blank, the J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. He checks. is there value in this bet? |

Yeah. I mean if he had a K you would have heard about it by now. Most people will either CR flop, donk flop, or donk turn. A couple will CR the turn. If he had a 7 you almost certainly would have heard about it by now.
The J doesn't change much unless he was calling you down with AJ. This is again one of those spots where I think for a few seconds and then I'm like [censored] it and pshhhh four chips in the pot. Do you shave your head? |

I think it's thin, but yeah, you should probably bet this.

how often does he fold a five? how often does he call with an ace?
I dunno how he plays, but against a lot of weak players I will bet this. It sorta depends if they have been losing, or what my table image is, or if they have been getting to showdown much, or if they have had bluffs attempted against them recently. Another further thing is the tempo of their calls and checks and the tempo of your betting and what you think they might think about that. There's a lot of stuff to consider, but it's hard to go wrong with a bet here. |

Yeah. I mean if he had a K you would have heard about it by now. [/ QUOTE ] not necessarily. I think OP is a favorite when called, but I wouldn't put it so decisively. We don't know how his opponent plays other than that he is "weak" |

If BB is check calling top pair here every street then it honestly doesn't matter if we're beat by a K here because we're gonna destroy him in every other spot.

Bet.
Collect crying call from 66. Smile politely during the "I had to call...I had a pair" speech. ??? Profit. I think you gotta bet here. A player who plays poorly in general isn't waiting until the river to announce that he has a 7 or a K. I think you're leaving a lot of value on the table if you knuckle this. |

Nope - check behind and either win against no pair or lose to something that beats you - almost everything beats you here. nh

Bet, he wants to call. If he calls and you lose, that's not so bad. However if you play a good aggressive game this guy may pay the river bet with any two cards "just to see".
