Default might be bluffing with the best hand

Bellagio 5/10

loose/bad player to my right open-limps in early position. I've raised his open-limps when we've been in late position sometimes but haven't yet had to show any of that trash and for the most part I don't think anyone really suspects me of getting out of line. Here I have 7s5s and debate raising him but I decide to limp instead. The game is playing very passively preflop so I think there's a good chance I can see a flop for no raise. Position will be a bit irritating but I'll deal with it.

One other guy limps behind me and then some geezer makes it $60. This guy is your prototypical limit hold'em convert that raises with "good" hands, calls with mediocre hands, and folds bad hands, and is generally oblivious to fundamental concepts of NLHE such as pot control. Some Chinese guy calls from the blinds. He has not been gambooling at all... playing few hands so not much read on his postflop tendencies. The fish on my right folds. I call and the other limper behind me calls.

I'm not terribly happy with how preflop turned out but oh well.

The flop is 876 with two clubs. We check to the geezer who bets $100. Chinese guy calls. I do not believe that the geezer can fold an overpair and I'm getting good direct odds to call. So I call. The remaining player folds.

The turn is an offsuit jack. We check to the geezer. I'm expecting him to bet his overpair here and most likely I'll be priced out and fold. Surprisingly, he checks. I now think he might not have anything.

The river is the queen of clubs. The Chinese guy checks. I bet $280.

Also, thoughts on raising the flop to knock out the Chinese guy to clean up my outs and get it all-in against the geezer's likely overpair? Or, any merit to just leading the flop?

Effective stack sizes were a bit over $1000 but I don't remember exactly.
