AQo deep flop good
Villan is taggy. He and I played a short HU session on another table in which I ran well (and made some aggressive plays) and won 2/3rds a buyin.
He seems competent enough. He may view me as aggressive. Here is one of the more significant hands we played during our HU session: Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.75/$1.50 Blinds - 2 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) BB: $318.50 Hero (SB): $388.60 Preflop: Hero is dealt 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero raises to $4.50</font>, BB calls $3.00 Flop: ($9) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $6.00</font>, <font color="red">BB raises to $16.00</font>, Hero calls $10.00 Turn: ($41) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">BB bets $25.00</font>, Hero calls $25.00 River: ($91) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $40.00</font>, BB calls $40.00 Pot Size: $171.00 ($0.50 Rake) BB had 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (two pair, Nines and Eights) and LOST (-$85.50) Hero had 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (two pair, Queens and Nines) and WON (+$85.00) Not that it really shows a tremendous amount, just shows that he is aggro and willing to c/r with marginal hands OOP with deep stacks. And that I call a bit lighter. I messed up PF and was distracted/not focused. This is a RR 80% of the time I think. Anyhoo, villan is aggro (as is hero) and willing to make some plays. What is your flop line here? (I think there are many). Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.75/$1.50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) Hero (SB): $305.05 BB: $149.55 UTG: $142.75 CO: $355.85 BTN: $304.50 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players) UTG calls $1.50, CO folds, <font color="red">BTN raises to $6.75</font>, Hero calls $6.00, 2 folds Flop: ($16.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero ... |

I think check-raise is good.

Re: AQo deep flop good
He shouldn't be shoving for $250 over a c/r that's gonna be to like $50, so if he overbets then I'm rethinking my stance slightly, but yeah I'm check-raising planning to get money in if it comes to that.

Re: AQo deep flop good
I like a c/r too. C/cing leaves us in a tougher spot OOP, and this guy can play back at us with alot of hands. He certainly is not folding hands like KsQx. Call a shove. We have decent eguity vs. AA/KK.

Re: AQo deep flop good
I prefer 3bet preflop vs button raise, but as played a c/r seems decent. I can't imagine folding here to a push with good equity vs most hands.

Re: AQo deep flop good
I don't really like it. It depends a lot on metagame, but I think too often he'll just fold to your lead (unless you do this a lot, which like I said is a metagame factor) and you're losing value compared to check-raising; this is a spot where you have a strong hand with lots of ways to catch up if you're behind, and thus you can let him fire at the pot (thus collecting more $$ when you play back) and stick some more money in there and still be strong enough to stand up to any more heat he'll put on you despite being OOP.
