Flopping trips against tight player
I have been raising lots in LP and have won pots with CBs. No showdowns really.
Villain in this hand is very tight, playing 13/10/2. What is the best line on the turn here? Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $35.25 BB: $48.65 UTG: $19.40 MP: $45.10 Hero (CO): $57.00 BTN: $103.30 Preflop: Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players) 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, BTN calls $1.75, SB calls $1.50, BB folds Flop: ($5.75) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $4.00, BTN calls $4.00, SB folds Turn: ($13.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero ?? |

Re: Flopping trips against tight player
Check raise would be my favourite move right there. I'd fold preflop though.

Re: Flopping trips against tight player
I think the bet is the right thing to do. I value bet turn and river.
The main point is that it is 3way pot. When button called he had SB behind so he probably isn't floating you, but has something. Either it is other 7, but then it really doesn't matter what you do or that something looks like 65s, 45s, A5s, 22-TT. If you will check to him he will probably know that there is little or no value in bets and check behind, but will often call your bet as you have bluffy image. |
