50NL: Common Marginal Blind Situation
No read on villain. Not really important here anyway. I'm more interested in discussing this particular situation, than this particular hand.
Anyhow, we have a marginal hand and get flat called on the flop. There are some draws. Are we better off betting turn or checking? If you bet and river is a blank what is your plan? If you check turn and villain bets what is your plan? I go back and forth deciding that betting or checking the turn is better and am not sure. Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $42.40 Hero (BB): $60.20 UTG: $29.55 CO: $28.75 BTN: $50.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 (5 Players) UTG calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero checks Flop: ($1.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T (2 Players) Hero bets $1.00, UTG calls $1.00 Turn: ($3.25) 3 (2 Players) Hero ? |

Re: 50NL: Common Marginal Blind Situation
Check/fold the turn. I do not like getting carried away in a blind vs blind situation especially out of position.

[ QUOTE ]
bet/fold [/ QUOTE ] I like this line better than check-folding on the turn. Villain could easily be on a straight draw, flush draw or have 2nd pair with a worse kicker (limped with a suited connector like 87). |

Re: 50NL: Common Marginal Blind Situation
This is a limped pot - don't fight for small pots - there's no chance you can win villain's stack in this situation.. Just check it down, fold to a bet. It may seem weak, but if your agro in raised pots the credit u earn from these little "giveaways" and showing down here with a pair gives u credit where it counts.
