3/6 AA BvB against big donk....strange spot, need a line 175BBs deep
Villain is a complete nutjob, playing like 67/14 and loves to mash the pot button. He's been caught bluffing a bunch, and he doesn't really have a fold button from what I've seen. He could have anything from air to 9s full here, and I'm pretty sure if I raise here he's not folding a K.....he probably doesn't even fold a J. Do I go into c/c mode here or do I go for a c/r and try and get it in? On a slightly dryer board I'd almost certainly go into c/c mode but there are a lot of river cards that are gonna make things really ugly if I just call the turn....but raising seems kinda spewy this deep no? The following is the only pot I've played vs him this far....
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $3/$6 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $1,277.05 BB: $518.20 UTG: $934.65 Hero (BTN): $885.90 Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players) UTG folds, Hero raises to $21.00, SB calls $18.00, BB folds Flop: ($48) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB bets $48.00, Hero calls $48.00 Turn: ($144) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, Hero checks River: ($144) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB bets $144.00, Hero calls $144.00 Pot Size: $432.00 ($2 Rake) SB had T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ([Ts 3s] a straight, Queen high) and LOST (-$213.00) Hero had K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (a flush, King high) and WON (+$217.00) Here's the hand in question Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $3/$6 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) Hero (SB): $1,096.90 BB: $1,037.05 UTG: $514.45 BTN: $962.65 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 Players) 2 folds, Hero raises to $20.00, BB calls $14.00 Flop: ($40) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $31.00, BB raises to $62.00, Hero calls $31.00 Turn: ($164) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, BB bets $164.00, |

i dont think his flop min raise is a bluff that often which is why i wouldn't go into c/c mode. i'd like to get it in against the described player

seom timesi think you have to sober up a bit and look at the hand itself. its a $40 pot on the flop gods sake. is it worth 1K? i dunno but a check raise seems like you are letting villain play perfectly if he has you beat.
i think check/call is ok. you will have to call any river card but this is the problem with being OOP with one pr. if he has only a J or a K or has JK he can only draw out by catching a 2outer. If he has a big draw, well he might hit. but lets say a Q falls. it may not be that bad for you. It may slow the action down and get you a cheap shodown, or tempt him to turn his hand in to a lbuff. raising is not that freat here as it basically is equivalent to play for stacks. alternatively, folding is noit terrible. |

What about the KK hand? Why not raise flop? Why not bet turn? If more of the big clubs besides the ace were still out I don't think a raise on the river would be bad.

[/ QUOTE ] He was pretty new to the table and I didn't have any reads on him in the KK hand, otherwise I would have def jammed the flop. |
