KK on not safestest board deepish 5/10
Villan is 24/17 reg, who plays ok. Normal amount of aggression and history seen between us. I have done this move with crap before and AK and obviously other hands like KK,QQ sometimes JJ. This flop really isnt good. I mean, im ahead of Ak and JJ and TT is possible I guess but im pretty sure he range is JJ+ AK. Check or bet flop?

You could possibly say the same thing about a J high flop (well now I'm only ahead of QQ really).
What about an overbet shove? |

And it doesnt change matters. I neevr said I was terrified of being behind, I just said I want to maximize ev and that doesnt always mean betting |

What about an overbet shove? [/ QUOTE ] I want to rep air (Cbetting a light preflop 4 bet) as much as possible, I also want him to think he has as much FE as possible, for these reasons as well as the stack/pot ratio and "kinda?" wet board, I'd bet ~50%-60% pot with almost my entire range here. I think checking narrows your range to AK and KK (heavily weighted towads KK), unless you tell us you have unstandard history in this spot. edit- misread "effective" stacksize. |

Re: KK on not safestest board deepish 5/10
if im cbetting its like 350, anything over that and the illusion of FE disappears completely. JJ is more likely to shove if I do that than if I shove myself imo

I didnt (I know it says final pot but it always says that for the converter if I stop there) and you [censored] up position rendering your post and your attempt at a clever quip impotent and useless

Re: KK on not safestest board deepish 5/10
So you'd bet like 560 and leave yourself with around 640. I just think that's weird. He's not going to think he has any fold equity when he shoves giving you like >4:1.
I know it goes against meta game etc.. and what you do with other hands, but what about weird betting like 200$. Sometimes [censored] that confuses people will get them to do dumb stuff. However, for the sake of the hand - assuming his range is AQs, AA, KK, QQ, JJ I probably bet call 1/2 pot. Ahnuld, do you think he's more likely to fold JJ here preflop or what given your dynamics. |
