VIP freerolls - have to play the satellite except Supernova?
I always get confused with the VIP freerolls. There are weekly ones and a monthly one. I am a platinum level guy. Do I have to play the satellite to get into all these? or Is it only for the monthly one?
How many people usually play this? Is it +EV to play these? |

Re: VIP freerolls - have to play the satellite except Supernova?
The VIP 20k weekly usually gets almost 4k entrants, so that yields about 5$ each and costs you 100FPP to enter as plat.
The VIP 50k weekly usually gets almost 1k entrants, so thats +EV to the tune of about 50-100$ depending on your ROI on such things, that one you sat into with 300 ->1500 FPP. The VIP 100k monthly usually gets 3-4k entrants, so thats +EV to the tune of 35-70$ depending on your ROI on such things. Thats a freeroll for plat. Heres something to think about tho. Freerolls are always +EV. Thats the way math works. The question is really, are these worth your time! Thats for you to decide. If you are already going to be online and playing tournaments where your expected return is less than 100$ per tournament, then not playing these is just giving up free money. Platinum gets you: 100FPP Direct buyin to 20k freeroll weekly (4k entrants, 5$ avg return appx.) 300FPP sat (20% qualify) to 50k freeroll weekly (1k entrants, 50$ avg return appx) Freeroll into 100k monthly (4k entrants, 25$ avg return appx) So for the FPP ones, we compare 13500FPP -> $215 (1.6c/fpp) 100FPP -> 5$ is 5c/FPP 300FPP -> 20% of 1500FPP -> $50 is 3.3c/FPP So yeah, if we are perfectly average using FPPs to freeroll yields a slightly better conversion to cash. I don't play any of them, since Saturdays at my house is a family day not a poker day. HTH 4Card |
