ESPN announces top 10 all time HRs (ZOMG DRUMROLL!!!1!!!)
Didn't see a thread on this yet. They've been hyping this for a while and tonight they announce their top 10 all time HRs.
My guess is Fisk, Thompson, Carter, Gibson, Aaron 716, Bonds 756, Big Mac 62, Dent, Mazeroski*, and Bonds 71. Not too sure about the last 2. Post your top 10 or your predictions of their top 10. *edit: forgot Mazeroski, replaced Boone with him |

It was one of the biggest, most important HRs in baseball history at the time it happened, though. You're right that they may just leave it off all together. Forgot about Ozzie. Great HR. That could definitely be there. |

Puckett's game 6 walk-off will probably be in there.

Reggie Jackson's Light Smasher should be up there but it probably won't.

I'm really grasping at straws here. There have to be more that weren't mentioned yet...
- Ruth's "called" shot - Henderson in Game 5 vs Angels in 1986 ALCS |

Gibson should be top 3.
Bobby Thomson #1 though. Joe Carter's HR that won the WS vs. Phillies Bonds 756th, Bonds 71st, Mac 62nd, Ruth's called shot, Fisk's home run, Reggie Jackson's HR that hit the lights, Mickey Mantle's shot off of the Yankee facade what time is this on? |

I put Henderson's HR in the same category as Big Mac. Because of the fallout (i.e., Bill Buckner, Donnie Moore), it's overall value has probably diminished. Also, it wasn't a game winner. |

[/ QUOTE ] You just missed it. They just showed each one consecutively (no numerical ranking) and no commentary from them, just the corresponding radio/TV announcers' calls. I thought they were going to have a 1/2 hour special or something, but it was over in like 2 minutes and they went straight into the baseball game. Big ripoff.
