my advice is don't go/play super super super tight. buy in minimum if that will allow you two buy ins with the 150. if you have more money, bring it.
coming to play with 75 bbs in nl is a disaster. unless you have a moderately healthy bank roll, and its not a far drive.. this seems like walking 15 miles at night to get a kiss on the cheek from a girl who probably isn't in to you. the problem is.. you don't have much room to play.. PFR is going to be 10-20 on avg at that table.. so look your first hand you sit down, you have 150, you're UTG. you open for 15 with AsKs, 3 callers, flop Kh 7d 6h - $60 in pot you lead for $45, get called in two spots Turn: 10h now wtf do you do. its a [censored] position no matter what, but especially when more than a third of what you brought is out there and the pot is more than what you brought, and you might have the best hand but you probably don't. the only remedy of course, assuming you're not going to change the amount of money you bring is over bet pots when you have the best of it. if there is a lot of dead money and the original raiser is pretty loose, go all in with JJ+ and AK+ even its its 150 into a pot of 50. You lose some ev this way but you cut way down on variance and that's important (and go all in on that flop instead of 45) |

Make sure you have the following items:
[ ] sunglasses [ ] headphones [ ] hat [ ] poker gear (shirt or something that has pocket AAs) [ ] lame card protector When people see you with these items they will know you mean business and fold anytime you are in a hand. goodluck |

Don\'t Forget To....
Don't forget to stare down you opponents for at LEAST a full 3 minutes whenever the make a $2 bet into you. Otherwise the table will lose respect for you and think you are a neebie.... Then after the 3 minutes staredown say, 'I'm laying down pocket aces to you.'.....

You come up with one moderately tricky hand (its not even that tricky) and use that as evidence of why these games suck. Nothing wrong with buying in for 150. |
