24 blind battle: Call
Villain UTG with 4000 chips just pushed, got called, KQ > QQ to get to his stack.
Hero has been playing aggro. Hero (8,470) in SB Villain (9,560) in BB Blinds 200/400/50 Folds to hero who raises to 1350 with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], villain insta pushes. I did time out before I made the raise (mostly because I erroneously wrote in my raise amount). Barry |

Re: 24 blind battle: Call
oh my goodness.
So, I just figured out how to use pokerstove, and let me just say I'm really, really, really dumb. Dumb as dogshit. I think my life in poker is about to become a little easier. Barry |

Re: 24 blind battle: Call
Bumping - basically, I want to know how easy a call this is and if this is the right time to put all my chips at risk in the blind battle. Is a range of 22+; J10+; K10+; QJ+; A7+ fair?

Re: 24 blind battle: Call
I think that range is probably actually a bit tighter than a really aggressive player in the BB. He probably views any raise from the SB as an attempted steal, and may well be raising with nothing.
The issue here though is Im not a huge fan of Ax as a restealing combination, because you often times will find AT+ here and be nastily dominated. A9 though is probably too good to not raise with. That being said, as this played out, I would push here and see how tough he really is. |

Re: 24 blind battle: Call
I'm seldom ever folding an Ace BvB. That said I lose a lot of chips but win way more here :P.

Re: 24 blind battle: Call
I'm not folding. I do fold aces in the blinds sometimes though.
